At Al Safa Foods, we proudly uphold the traditional and sacred practice of hand slaughtering, performed by trained professionals in strict accordance with Islamic guidelines. Each animal is carefully and compassionately slaughtered horizontally by hand, ensuring that the process aligns with halal requirements while minimizing stress to the animal. This method not only respects the dignity and well being of the animal but also allows for proper drainage of blood, as prescribed in Islamic law.

Our products are certified by the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of Canada (IFANCC), a globally recognized authority in halal certifcation. This certifcation guarantees that our offerings comply with rigorous halal requirements, providing you with confidence and peace of mind in every purchase.

Our Halal Process

1. Animals in good health: All animal are in good health prior to the slaughter.All animals are in good health prior to the slaughter.All animal are in good health.

2. Hand slaughtered: The animal is hand slaughtered by a Muslim reciting the Tasmiyah and all blood is drained.

3. Halal Certification: IFANCC – our registered independent certifier inspects, monitors, and verifies that the products are compliant with strict halal standards.

4.Federal Inspection: All of our sources are federally inspected, HACCP, SQF, and/or BRC Certifed allowing the halal meat to be tracked from start to Fnish.

5.Ready: Finally at the end, our products are Halal, safe, and ready for your table!
